Hi, I’m Dan Docherty. President at Braintrust and Professor of Management and Leadership at Miami University’s Farmer School of Business.
At Braintrust, we are committed to helping people around the world communicate with more purpose, power, and impact. As a practitioner-scholar, I’m committed to bringing life changing teaching, current research, and immediate application to your attendees.
So, why me? There are a lot of speakers that have spent their careers in practice. There are fewer speakers that have spent their careers in academics, and even fewer that have done both.
I’ve led companies from entrepreneurial start-ups, to middle-market private equity firms, to fortune 100 publicly traded companies. I’ve had responsibilities in sales, marketing, operation, and human resources. No matter where I’ve been, one thing remains the same. The best companies maximize the development and growth of their people. I have had the unique opportunity to work alongside the best practitioners and scholars in the world. It is my heartfelt desire to bring what I’ve learned through the good and bad to your teams.
Gallup recently reported that 65-70% of employees are either not engaged or actively disengaged in the workplace. If this is even half true, we have an epidemic inside the walls of our companies. The shining light is that they also report that high development organizations have a culture of moving from “boss” to ‘coach.” Companies will spend and sometimes waste billions of dollars looking for solutions that don’t work. It is time to translate current advances in science into a practitioner model that actually is proven to drive sustained change. As my mentor taught me, what is common sense is often not common practice.
In our sessions, we will define coaching, dive into the science of trust, learn the power behind a shared vision, while unlocking and applying the current advances of the Neuroscience of Coaching. Your attendees will leave with an application-based approach that will begin to release both individual and organizational performance. This program is for managers of all ages and experiences, IF they are open to learning and change. In our time together, we will have fun and begin a journey of coaching that maps the path to success.
